This is not a love story. This is a story about love. We jump back and forth in time to follow Tom's thoughts about his relationship with Summer.
Tom is a romantic. He fells for Summer at first sight. He is convinced that she is the "one". Unfortunately, she is not looking for anything serious. Summer reminds me of myself. I was hurt in the past, which made me not believe much in relationships. These "Tom"s and I became more than just friends. There was always something I was holding back and kept me from truly being "in" the relationship until I met my husband. Well, I admit that I acted somewhat as a bitch back then. Guess I was just afraid of being hurt again. I want to say sorry to these "Tom"s and wish them find the one for them and being happy forever.
I like this movie. It's real and encouraging. I am pretty sure that it will mend many broken hearts. BTW, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is as cute as a puppy.
